Saltmarshe Hall, near Howden (not far from Hull) in East Yorkshire, is a beautiful listed building built back in 1820, and has become one of the great wedding venues of the area since the Saltmarshe family sold it on.  Since it has been restored to a a very very high standard  – with a touch of class and style running throughout all the rooms in this great hall.

I have built up a great relationship with the top staff from shooting weddings at their amazing venue – and I can honestly say I love working there – the amazing staircase, stunning lake and the renovated stables are personal favourites of mine.  Katie and her team make you feel at home and I really do look forward to my bookings at Saltmarshe Hall.

Based in Howden, right on the river Ouse, it has great views of the river, as well as a HUGE amount of gardens – 17 acres of parkland I’m told! – which makes for beautiful green shots (in the nice weather) within the walled gardens, but also offers a few hidden gems for those dark or gloomy days.  Whilst it is a not too far away from any one city, the location really isn’t that far from Hull, and it’s not too far from Leeds and York either, so it makes a lovely escape for guests to visit.
